2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
-This is a secret of ministry. Know nothing except Jesus and his sacrifice. With everything based off this it'd be hard to go wrong. Paul might not have been wiser, smarter, or anything else, but he did know Jesus and that's what he taught. Maybe I'll try this more often in my life.
3I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.
-Paul was as nervous as any of us might get if we were speaking and teaching people. Especially since he walks into so many new settings with unknown people. That's gotta be scary. This is a good place to be in life though when doing ministry. That is because you have to fully trust God. If he walked in confident in his own power than he might get in trouble.
4My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power,
-Hehe...this basically means he failed and God made it all work. This is me all the time. Just stumbling, bumbling, fumbling, but God makes it all work out cause I'm trying for Him. Ty to God for making things work even though we are dumb sometimes.
5so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
-So we look to God. Trust in his unfailing love, wisdom, and power. He got us here, and He'll take us home. It's a good thing its not up to us. But what is up to use we should try our best!
