Thursday, October 1- 2 John 7-13

7Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
-Deceivers are people who don't recognize Jesus as a real person. Since they are lying to others they are obviously deceivers, they are against Christ. It's weird that some people go to such great lengths

8Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
-We shouldn't be deceived by these people. We should be careful of them. They don't spin totally foolish stories, but this warning is here because we could be fooled.

9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
-Continuing is such an important part of the Christian life. It tells so much of who we are and aren't. This is a very clear indication of who is a Christian and who isn't.

10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. 11Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.
-We are playing with eternal life and death. With this being the case we must be very careful of who we let closely into our lives.

12I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
-Aww.

13The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.

-Christianity isn't lived in a day, but it's a lifetime of growth. If we stop then we must be aware of what that could possibly mean. People say once saved always saved and that is true, but we must also be aware that people can think their saved but are never saved at all.
-Proof is to continue.
