Thursday, October 8- Psalms 7:6-10

6 Arise, O LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.
-God's righteous anger protecting his people. Guess I don't really pray like this to often. It's something to think about. When someone is truly against God it is an option. There are genunie evil people in the world with no intention of doing good. Repentance from these people would be amazing. But justice for these people is also right.

7 Let the assembled peoples gather around you. Rule over them from on high;
-God needs to be the center no matter what we do. He is our ruler and our guide. Our strength and wisdom. We should never forget him. If we do then nothing we do is right.

8 let the LORD judge the peoples. Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.
-David doesn't just ask God to judge the enemies, but also himself. This is very honest and admirable.

9 O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.
-God is right. He knows everyones hearts. He knows if they are honest and true or hypocritical and wrong. He is the only one who can judge 100% right.

10 My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.
-Again, even though David is an accomplished fighter, God is the center. We need to make sure God is the same in our lives.
