Monday, October 19- Psalm 51:12

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
-This verse caught my attention today from a website. There is joy in salvation. Somtimes we get away from that joy. This could be from laziness, sinfulness, or other reason. Whatever the case this psalmist askes for the joy to be restored. Sometimes we can stray away from the joy and sometimes when we get there we need to ask God for help in getting back to the joy. What a gift and joy it is to be saved. We shouldn't forget it, but we do for some reason.
-In his troubled times he asks for joy and also a willing spirit to keep him going. Sometimes we want to give up. It's in these times we need to ask for help in goign forward even though we don't want to. A lot of life is a fight that we need to keep fighting for and even let God fight for us.
-So if joy is gone, ask God. And if the willingness to keep going is fading, then we must ask God.
