Tuesday, October 20- 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

4I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.
-Paul writing to the corinthians. How thankful are we for the peole God has put in our lives. This thankfulness is not based on what they did, but what Christ did for them. Kind of a different thankfulness.

5For in him you have been enriched in every way—in all your speaking and in all your knowledge—
-Knowledge of God really changes people. It automatically makes people smarter becuase they have an insight into our maker. But those who are rich in God's word become rich in knowledge.

6because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.
-Gosh, its nice to see Christ being lived out by people. It's a big difference between people that say they are Christians and those that live like they are.

7Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
-God gifts us to do his work. He won't let us be short on the things we need to have to do the work he needs us to do. I feel equipped with every new challege I face. It may not feel like it at the time, but God really does make things happen.

8He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-God is our strength. We shouldn't trust totally in ourselves, but look to God for strength for sure. It's to hard to do on our own. His power makes us blameless. What a sigh of relief to be forgiven.

9God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
-God is faithful. That means so much becuase it means he won't let us down. He'll be there and we need to believe that.
