John 7:14-24

In this passage Jesus begins teaching at the feast. As he does people are amazed at his teaching. He explains that his teaching is from God. A proof of his teaching is if someone follows it. The end of the test is the teacher gains honor or if God gains honor. Jesus then calls out those who want to kill him. Apparently he healed someone on the sabbath which was supposedly against moses's law. Jesus explains why this is wrong.

From this I can learn a little bit about how to judge someones teaching. We need to be careful about what people teach for sure. The people were right to be critical, but wrong in their conclusions. People need to be wise about the scriptures and how they're used. Used the wrong way they cause a lot of troubles. We're lucky to have Jesus as an example to us.
