John 6:15-27

In this passage Jesus sends his disciples on ahead of him on a boat. He walks on water late at night to catch up with them later. They were scared by him, but after realizing who he was they let him on the boat. The next day the crowds were looking for him but finally found him in Capernaum. When they speak to him he tells them not to work for food that spoils, but for that which lasts to eternity.

From this passage I can learn that God is more powerful than nature. We have little to fear with him on our side. Also we should be people that seek God as the crowds did. In addition we should be careful to work for food that lasts. Store up treasure in heaven instead of on earth. The things of earth are nice, but they don't last. We should invest in a sure thing.
