John 10:31-42

In this passage Jesus is about to get stoned. He turns to his miracles as a defense of himself. The stoners tell him that they want to stone him only because he claims to be God. Jesus says some stuff then sums it up by saying if they don't want to believe his words then to believe the miracles he's doing. They try to get him but he escapes. He goes back to where John baptized him. There many people came to him and believed him.

From this passage I can learn that miracles served to prove his identity. I kind of wonder how Jesus escaped when they were trying to seize him. Did he run away? Did he have to fight them off and wrestle a bit? or did he just do some miracle and walk away? Jesus ends up at a safe place and many people believe in him there. Guess its a spot of credibility since John the baptist declared who he was there. Sometimes it's a good idea to go to a safe place away from confrontation.
