John 6:1-14

In this passage Jesus feeds 5000 people. There were great crowds coming to him because they had heard of his miracles. There probably wasn't a health care system back then like there is now so they needed to. He asks the disciples where to get food. They realize that it would be an enormous task and cost a lot. Andrew mentions a boy with some food just as an aside but knows its not enough. Jesus miraculously provides food for everyone thru the small amount of food.

From this I can learn that God always has a plan when he asks you to do something. God can provide with a little bit. Jesus even gives thanks for the little bit to feed so many. We often look at a little bit and just grumble that it's not enough. The people were amazed so it was truly a miracle. We need to have faith like this.
