Sunday, Sept 13- 1 John 3:21-24

-Overall a pretty quiet day. Nothing to eventful. Sometimes no news is good news though.

21Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God
-My heart does do a lot of condemning once in awhile. Its a good thing to listen too.

22and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.
-Guess its good to get on the good side of God. We shouldn't be shy in asking though.

23And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
-Direct command. Believe and love. These were commands of Christ. These are important.

24Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
-John uses "this is how we know" a lot. He wants us to be confident about it and to have no mistake about it. This is important to realize and to check ourselves on.
