Saturday, Sept 5- 1 John 2:24-27

24See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
-This is a fight. The enemy does everything he can to wrench this from us. We must work hard to keep it in us. This is how we remain in the Son and the Father, by protecting these truths and growing in them.

25And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.
-Eternal life is our reward. Life with God forever.

26I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.
-Again, so many try to lead us astray by false teachings or empty worldly philosophies. We need to watch out and be on our guard. Not passively but actively.

27As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
-Anointing of the holy spirit. This is not some made up thing but He really lives in us. We, again, need to remain in him.
-fight fight fight!
