5What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task.
-We do tend to give a lot of credit to preachers sometimes. Mostly its good and they should be thanked. Sometimes tho its a little much and we glory in them to much. We should definitely be thankful tho and thank them for their work. Just being careful to remember that God is the one doing the work in them. Maybe this can encourage us to realize that God can do the same in us as we humble ourselves before him.
6I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.

7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
-God is the one who does the hard work. It reminds me of a story from one of my friends dad who is a doctor. He said to a patient once who was so amazed at his skill as a doctor that he didn't do anything but it was God who fixes him.
8The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
-We don't have to do everything, just what we're called to do. Neither is really greater than the other. Both things are 100% necessary. Water and planting. But we just do the best we can in what we do for God's glory.
9For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.
-Teamwork.
