Thursday, November 12- 1 Corinthians 6:7-8

-Everyday I type my blog I struggle with whether or not i should abbreviate or write out the day, month and corinthians. Sigh...i know its a huge struggle, but I decide to write it out all the way cause thats what i usually do.

7The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?
-Completely defeated. That's a sad place to be at. They tried with some meager attempt to fix stuff but failed completely. Why is it that relationships are so difficult? Why in all our years of relationships do we still fail? Why in our deepest loves can we still not be successful? I know things are hard, but people should be smart enough, humble enough, have enough desire to work things out. Maybe its pride or selfishness or stubbornness. One of the most valuable things in life is our relationships. Christ desires for us to love each other. This protects what is good in life. If we can really figure out how to work out relationships we've gained something so valuable in life.

8Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.
-Our solution many times in our pride and wisdom is to cheat and wrong back our brothers. THis is opposite of what Christ did on the cross. On the cross Jesus was glue and the sin stopped. He's our example that we can forgive and work out even the most most most difficult relationships. God believes in us and he works for us. If thats the case we have good support.
