-In this passage the Israelites begin to move out. They recieve instructions that they are to follow the levites and that is how they will know which direction to go. God gave Joshua simple instructions to do. Joshua gave the israelites simple instructions to do. God's purpose in this was to show the people that he was with Joshua. As the Ark was passed into the Jordan river it split so that the whole nation could cross on dry land.
-From this passage I can learn to trust God and obey his simple commands. Israel wasn't given much future direction except to follow the ark. Sometimes we're put in the same situation. We aren't given much, but to follow what's simply in front of us. God provides for Joshua as he promised. God will also be for us as we trust in him.
