Tuesday, March 16- Joshua 23:1-8

-In this passage Joshua is getting old. In his old age he brings the nation togehter to address them. He reminds them that it was God who fought for them. He reminds them how God has and will drive out thier enemies. Joshua's encouragement for them is to be strong and careful to obey the word of God. Don't associate with the enemy. Stick close to God and nobody will be able to stand up against them.

-From this passage I can learn that I also must be strong but careful to follow God's word. It's similar to how Joshua was encouraged as he took leadership at the beginning of the book. Now he passes on his wisdom. It's easy to get side tracked if influenced by the enemy. Joshua warns of this. We also have to be on guard against who influences us. It's simple advice but very true.
