-The people from the passage before are to obey because the grace of God has come to save us. It teaches us that godliness is the way to go. Without the grace of God there's no reason to be self controled. We might as well live and die in our sinfulness. Luckily Jesus redeems us. Titus is entrused to teach these things with full authority. More teaching for the people is to respect authority. We're different now that we're saved.
-From this passage I can learn that there is a "once was" and "now am." Because we are "now am" we should live differently. Thanks to Christ we have the opportunity to live a good life. We shouldn't soil that and live a sinful life. We need to appreciate God's grace more.
