-In this passage the Lord instructs Joshua to take some stones from the Jordan river and make a memorial to the crossing. These stones would be a reminder to the people and their children that would follow of what the Lord had done. This also marked the time when the people learned that God was truly with Joshua.
-From this passage I can learn that it is good to make symbols to remember the victories that God has given us. These to remind us of his power. To encourage us in difficult times. Sometimes looking back at what God had done can be helpful in our difficult moves forward.
