-In this passage Paul talks about a disruptive group that Titus needs to watch out for. Their bad deeds included talking and deceiving people. Because of their talk they were destroying households with false teachings. The people Titus was around had a bad reputation of being liars and lazy. To combat this Titus was to rebuke them so that they would return to the truth. These evil people are corrupt because they claim good but do evil. Nothing that they end up doing is good because of this.
-From this passage I can learn how to deal with people that are teaching falsely. This is not a small deal, but a big one. This can destroy a lot of lives if people think that it is the truth. It is important to attack the problem quickly. They may think they are correct in what they say and do...even good, but in the end it is all bad. These people weren't ignorant, they were doing it for dishonest gain. In the end though, Paul believed that they could change.
