Thursday, December 17- 1 Corin 11:1-2

1Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
-In some ways this is a bold thing to say because it puts a lot of pressure on himself to live righteous. Although people often want to be perfect before they have people follow them, Paul talks all the time about how he's a sinner. We should take this into account as we consider our influence on others. We don't have to be perfect, but we have to keep trying to grow.

2I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you.
-2 things Paul gives them credit for. 1) remembering Paul 2) staying true to what was taught. 1 is hard because people often forget others especially in the business of life. 2 is hard because many people just keep watering down teachings. We must fight to do both these. Remember those who teach us and also to hold to teachings instead of letting them go.
