Monday, December 14- 1 Corinthians 10:23-26

23"Everything is permissible"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"—but not everything is constructive.
-Although food sacrficed to idols is ok, it's not always something thats good to do. The same applies to us many times. Although all sorts of entertainment is permissible, it's not always the wisest decision for our lives. For us and for those around us.

24Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.
-When we're making these decisions we don't just count our own pleasures, but we must weigh out the good and bad for others as well. We shouldn't live so blind and think that our lives don't affect others. The things we do influence others more than we know.

25Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, 26for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it."
-This is a true thing, but if it hurts others then we should refrain from it. We just need to think about the things we do not just for ourselves, but for others as well. I think this applies to us more in the entertainment realm than anywhere else. We're so foolish for our own pleasure that we forget that it hurts others.
