14Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.
-Because of the example of the Israelites we should learn to get away from idolatry. What a sad existance if we don't. Kinda makes me wonder why people are so prone to being bound by objects. What is it about us that makes us want to worship things so badly?
15I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say.
-Paul's argument here makes sense. People that can think and that aren't blinded by their bondage should be able to make sense of what he's saying.
16Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?
-These symbols bind us to Christ. We are his and shouldn't worship idols.
17Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
-All of us are in this together. The community of believers is an important thing. We should all be together on this issue of idolatry. We should suppport each other so we don't fall into foolishness.
