Sunday, Feb 28- Joshua 1:1-11

-In this passage the writer transitions from Moses being the leader of Israel to Joshua being the leader. He tells Joshua to be ready to cross the river and promises him every place he sets his foot. He promises to be with Joshua as he was with Moses. The constant encouragement is to be strong and courageous. The warning is to not stray from the word of God...to keep it near him at all times. Without it he will fail.

-From this passage I can learn that God offered big promises to Joshua that, similarly, can be applied to me as well. God allows Joshua to conquer lands and the power to conquer things is probably similarly ours as we testify about God to people. God encourages us to be strong and courageous as well. We have some tough tasks ahead of us, but God will be there for us. The key is to stay near God's word. It will cause us to be prosperous and successful. Without it we'll be lost.
