Thursday, Feb 25- Ephesians 6:1-9

-In this passage Paul begins to talk about obedience. He begins by talking about parents and children. Obedience is right in this relationship because that's what the structure dictates. This is a command with a promise. It also has a balance from the parents side. Next is the relationship between slaves and masters. They are to obey as well. Their obedience is to the Lord. This relationship also has a balance from the masters side to treat the slaves well. In the end God overseas and offers justice for them.

-From this passage I can learn that relationship structures are important. It lends to healthy relationships. People are placed in charge of others. Those with higher role have a responsibility to the lower. And the lower has a responsibility as well. It's all part of having one body that works well together. Not everyone can be a hand or foot. Whatever situation we're placed in we should do it for God.
