Jonah 3:1-10

In this passage what should've happened in chapter 1 finally happens. Jonah receives the word but this time he obeys faithfully. He preaches to Nineveh and the king issues a decree to repent. This is an amazing act of repentance from a wicked city. It must've been an amazing thing to see. I think if i went in the street and did some dooms day message nobody would budge an inch except to make fun of me. Great and small alike in the city went into fasting. Even the animals. Wonder what it would take to see that happen here. I wonder who all the unnamed people might have been who prayed for the city. I should pray more for our city.
