2 Timothy 4:1-4

Paul first sets up what he's about to say by putting Jesus into view. He then charges him with a very pastoral charge. But we are all a royal priesthood so in some ways this applies in one way or another to all of us. verses 3-4 sound very much like today. there are circles of teachers with ridiculous doctrine. its funny that people can accept some of the crazy teachings that go on today. it defies any kind of sense, but some are more devious than others. regardless, we are to be ready always to all the things listed. its a tough job but rewarding. its not something that comes automatically, but takes training and work. So many christians refuse to do anything that requires work. i wonder why they're so averse to studying. it seems like if they loved God they would enjoy it a little, but given a little bit of Christian hw it's like pulling teeth. it certainly is a funny generation.
