John 21:15-25

In this passage Jesus reinstates peter. Jesus asks peter 3x if he loves him. Each time peter says he does. Jesus reply's with a similar statement of feeding sheep. This was important to Christ. If peter really loved Jesus this is what he would do. I suppose in someways this command is universal to all. Peter maybe at a higher level because he was an apostle/preacher/missionary. But for us we should still take care of those that Christ entrusts us with. Whether it be friends or family or children. It's neat that Jesus closing words to peter was "follow me". I think they were the same words that he called him by. Beginning to end it was the same....follow the leader. Follow what he does, what he says, who he is. that's our job.

Some stuff is said about John. Why it's included who knows. It seems a little inconsequential to everything else. The main thing about the end is that Jesus did so much stuff. It was impossible to describe the amount. This is what we should look to as our God. The God who does so much it's indescribable.
