In this passage Jesus along with his disciples and went to an olive grove. Judas met him there with a number of soldiers. Peter struck one of the servants ears off. Jesus commands him to stop. They arrested Jesus and brought him to Caiphas the high priest.
From this passage I can learn that what Jesus says will come to pass. This moment must of been one that was very threatening if Peter was willing to fight to get out of it. It's kind of cool peter carried around a sword. Must've been rough times back then or maybe they were just threatened a lot because of the line of work they were in. Regardless it must've been interesting preaching with a sword tied to him. The bad guys came in force. Wonder what they were so afraid of, but I guess with 12 men it could've been a much more difficult struggle. Bad things happen...sometimes they are a part of God's plan. We need to have faith.
