John 13:12-20

In this passage Jesus completes washing feet. He gets to explaining why he did what he did. He teaches them to be humble and serve others as he has done. There is blessing in following his example. Jesus then goes on to explain his betrayer prophetically.

From this passage I can learn to serve others humbly. whether they deserve it or not we gotta follow Christ's example. There really is blessing in service. Everyone feels good when they do something nice for others that they didn't have to. It seems its built in us. It's kind of a weird fight inside us that we want to be so selfish, but we know that there's so much good in serving others. Good for us and good for others. The character of Judas kind of amazes me. He was so close to Jesus but never got it. There's a lot of people like that in church today. So close yet so far. Looking for advantages Christ's brings them but never really understanding what Christ is all about. He probably loved all the attention he got being around Christ. It would be such a waste of life to be a Judas. After the so many amazing things he saw Christ do he still fails to get it. Again, many Christian's today don't get it just like Judas. Hopefully they'll see one day.
