The Lord speaks more in this passage. Basically what God says will happen will happen. He wished discipline upon the people and it happened, and now he wishes good things and they will happen. God commands them to do a few things: speak truth, sound judgments, don't plot evil, don't swear falsely, love truth and peace. If a society was surrounded by these things it would be so great. I don't know why people do the exact opposite all for selfish gain. God wants good for people...for some reason people choose the opposite or think they can gain better themselves.
Also many people from surrounding places will seek God and look to Israel to show them the way. Good living like above draws people to it. This is a good testimony of God.
