Verse 1: This is a good proverb to observe in family life. There are many opportunities to work for success but that may put a strain on the family relationship. It's great to have stuff, but not at the expense of family. Money isn't everything.
Verse 3: I wonder what God thinks of my heart.
Verse 5: this is interesting. The poor are people too. To put them down disrespects God's creation. They just have a bad lot in life. They already have it tough no need to make it worse for them.
