Zechariah 1:7-17

In this passage Zechariah receives visions. The visions are explained to him by an angel. The world was at peace but it wasn't a good peace because Israel was oppressed. Peace on earth is nice but it's not right without good will toward men. The Lord proclaims that he will go back and rescue Israel. This is what I feel we need sometimes. We get entrenched in our own sin and get so tied up that God needs to save us. God is just waiting for us to ask for help but for some reason we think we can do it all on our own. Deeper and deeper we sink. We just need to reach up and cry out to God. He is mighty to save.
