Judges 8:22-35

In this passage Gideon does a couple odd things. He does good not to accept the peoples offer to be their king and tells them that God will be their king. After that he does some strange things. He makes an ephod that would be a snare for his family as well as Israel. He also had many wives. God blessed Israel for a time with quietness until Gideon died, but the quietness ended because Israel again became unfaithful.

From this i learned that even someone as great as Gideon can make errors. He did things he shouldn't have before God. We need to watch our steps even though we may have done something "great" for God.
