John 1:29-42

In this passage John the baptist gives testimony of Jesus being the Christ. He testified that he saw the spirit descend on Jesus. This was clue to him that Jesus was the Christ. In the passage after 2 of John's disciples went after Jesus to find out more about him. After spending time with him they also realized that he was the Messiah. Andrew go finds his brother to show him what he had found.

I can learn from this passage that John knew how to humbly get out of the way of Jesus. He wasn't proud or arrogant about his position, but he knew that Jesus was greater than him and to submit to him. Also when the disciples found a good thing they went and shared it excitedly. They did this for the rest of their lives. We should be doing similarly.
