In this passage samson finds out about his wife given to another. He's angry about it so he goes sets many of thier things on fire. The philistines in turn go and kill his family. He goes back and kills them. Israel makes a deal with him to turn him over to them. When he gets turned over he loosens himself and kills many more. In the end God gives him water at his request.
Samson is a strange dude. Very much unlike anyone else used of God. He's brute, unharnessed, and raw yet God serves his purpose thru him. It doesn't seem as though he's to be emulated for anything he does, but he serves a purpose for God. I suppose God can use anyone of any nature. I'm sure if he were less out of control he would be held in higher regard. Interesting none the less.
