Judges 16:1-17

Another strange story of samson. First one was that he saw a prostitute and slept with her. People around were going to kill him but he escapes by leaving at night. Second he meets delilah. She keeps asking him for the secret to his power. For some reason he finally trusts her with his secret.

It's weird that such a ruthless carnal man is used by God. But in the end his lust is his demise. He can think he is getting away with something for awhile, but in the end he loses. I wonder how he will be judged by God, but there are also so many things about the story of samson we don't know. Maybe he was very pious but these are just rare examples of him making mistakes. Who knows, but the picture we get of his life is very sordid and strange.
