John 1:43-51

In this passage Jesus calls Phillip. Phillip finds Nathaniel and tells him about Jesus declaring that he is the Christ. Nate has some doubts because not much comes out of the place where Jesus was from. When Jesus meets nate he says some nice things about him followed by a small bit of amazement. Phillip is drawn in by this and believes in him.

From this passage I can learn not to be so stereotypical about where or who people are. Nate looked down on Jesus a bit because of where he was from, but God can use anyone from anywhere. Sometimes it's hard to see the good qualities in someone from the outside, but I guess we can be surprised. In addition, God knows us. Before we knew him he knew us. It's good that we can serve a God that is in control and knows the end from the beginning.
