John 3:13-24

Jesus teaches nicodemus. He talks about how the snake being lifted in the desert was symbolic of what Jesus would do in the future. This time instead of being healed they would gain life eternal. He then begins to teach him of the process of salvation. The reason this is being done is because of God's justice.

From this passage I can learn to keep looking to Christ for eternal life. The offer is so simple that some choose to reject it, but it still stands. God loves us. We only stand as condemned but we have a chance because Christ gave it to us. That is crazy, but I believe it.
