Wed, Jan 27- Psalm 94:12-23

-In this part of the psalm the writer has a change of idea. Before it was talking more about God and how he should avenge as well as how futile the wicked man is. This section talks more to the man that worships God. It begins by talking about how blessed someone is if they receive the Lord's discipline. The writer talks about how the Lord supports the righteous and judgment is his discipline. God rises up against the wicked man in our behalf. This is something that we cannot stand up against alone. The Lord supports us when we begin to slip. Even though the enemy takes a stand against the righteous, the Lord is their refuge. The Lord will take vengence and will fight on the psalmists behalf.

-From this psalm I can learn that discipline is a good thing to receive. Although it can be difficult and the circumstances by which the discipline comes can be difficult, we should persevere in it because it is good. We can trust that God will destroy evil and that He will triumph over it. Because of that God truly is our fortress. Our stronghold in times of trouble. We can look to him patiently knowing that his timing is good and he will deliver us.
