Monday, Jan 18- Psalm 88

-The psalmist writes of some serious things he's facing. From the very beginning he's crying out to God for help. He's basically begging for God to hear him. He describes how he's in great despair and almost at death. He recognizes that it is God that has placed him there. He appeals to God with a set of questions that conclude that God can't be worshiped from a dead person. Even thru all this the psalmist constatnly turns to God knowing that he's the one who can help him. He doesn't give up on prayer even though he's lost so much.

-From this I can learn that even in the worst circumstances that God could place me in I should still turn to him. Many give up on God when he has seemingly given up on us. But even tho we've lost everything, we should still turn to God knowing that he's in control and can change circumstances. What a faithful God we have. We have no place to question his motives, but we can turn to him with our cry's for help.
