-In these verses the Psalmist talks about how God rejects Israel. He talks about all the area's in which he rejects them. In all his rejection he chooses the tribe of Judah to establish his throne. He chooses David to rule. Not the powerful waring tribes, but Judah. David was raised as a sheep herder and from that experience he will choose David to be the shepherd of Israel.
-From this passage I can learn that God's rejection is a place that I don't want to be. On the other hand God has a plan and purpose for those he loves. He chose Israel, but after much rejection he rejected them. We should be careful not to test God. We should take every opportunity God gives us to glorify him and work for him. Even David messes up later in life, but even in his faltering he still ends up choosing God. This is something that Israel failed to do in all their blunderings. We need to always choose God even after we mess up.
