-Another Psalm where the people of Israel have gone wrong and angered the Lord. The anger isn't an unruly anger, but one of discipline. The psalmsist appeals to God's forgiveness and unfailing love. Although Israel has sinned the psalmist looks forward to the time when God will relent and again show his favor on the people. Most likely that'll come when the people truly repent.
-From this I can learn to trust God's faithfulness even in my sin. Even though I may have made a mistake and God's discipline is on me I can trust that his forvieness will come thru as I learn from my mistakes. His salvation is near those who fear him. The fear of the Lord is good.
