-This Psalm begins in a very celebratory mood. Talks about the feast of the new moon and how there should be much rejoicing during it. This was commanded during the time of Joseph. The psalmist again warns Israel not to have Idols or other gods before them. If they would just obey that God would rescue them and give them good life. But Israel is so stubborn and will not surrender to God. Such a simple and clear directive from God.
-I can learn from this to just obey God and submit to him. It's so simple. A good life comes from those who trust God and obey him. Who don't put other things above God. We fail in this so often because of our own foolishness, but the answer is always there. Love God. Trust him with everything. He will guide me.
