21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"
-Cannot is an absolute word. There's no negotiation here. As much as it is ridiculous for the body to say these kinds of things, it is ridiculous for the church to say the same things.
22On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,
-And this is very true of the body. It may have a lesser role, but it is still necessary or very helpful to the overall effectiveness of the body. People shouldn't think so little of themselves when they are part of the body of Christ.
23and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,
-More of the same idea. We shouldn't think so little of others and people shouldn't think so little of themselves. We need to treat the whole body as if everyone is important.
24while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it,
-Everything has it's place in God's plan. Sometimes people feel small, unimportant, or neglected but they are important also in God's plan.
25so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
-Problem so often is division. Too much pride going around.
26If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
-Here's the summary again. No part or person is that separate. We are all together in this.
