Monday, March 2- Matthew 13:10-12

-Today I went to see AfterDark with a few people. It was interesting. Joe White spoke a ADHD type Gospel message. Many people responded confessing various sins on white cards. I really pray that God really changed those people's hearts.

10 The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"
-This is a good question. Why doesn't he just speak straight forward to the people. It's nice that the question comes from the disciples. They are close to him and constantly observe parables.
-Maybe we should also preach in parables? Maybe with so much clarity people don't understand...lol. We try so hard to make it understandable, but people don't respond. The hearts that will be hard will be hard. God, what a burdensome job to preach to an unrepentant people. God please transform our hearts. We have no hope without you.

11 He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
-As burdensome as it is to me, it must be so hard for you. To see the gift of life being spread out before people that constantly turn away from it. You gave it all to save them, but they refuse. Please forgive us for being dumb.
-Secrets need to be revealed by you. Please show this stubborn people your love. Open our eyes as only you can.

12 Those who have will be given more, and they will have an abundance. As for those who do not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
-This is the verdict. It will be shocking one day to see the true have's and have not's.
-Just make sure in the end that you really have. And what you have, make sure you give to as many as will listen.
