Genesis 8

in this passage noah is stuck in the ark for quite some time. God causes the water to recede for noah's sake. noah has to do all kinds of tests in order to see if the land had dried up. apparently there were no windows in the ark that would allow him to see out easily. eventually he finds that it is safe enough to exit the ark. he does and releases all the animals. after that point he does a sacrifice to God. the aroma is pleasing. Then God promises never to do that again. He gives insight into the human heart though. God says that every part of the human heart leans towards evil even from childhood. that's not a very positive review of the human heart. but that's the disease of sin living in our hearts. this is why we need a savior.
