Genesis 15:1-6

In this passage God speaks to Abram in a vision. Although this was quite the blessing message Abram's concern was with his offspring. God speaks to him about this concerns and reassures him. There's a lot to learn here about our relationship with God. Here Abram can talk to God about his concerns. We should be talking to God about our concerns also. Abram was thinking very practically about his current situation. Although Abram couldn't see a way God knew that things were going to be different so Abram needed to place his trust in God. This is the same with us. Even though we don't see away we have to put our faith in God. Here this is what Abram did. He didn't quite understand how or when, but he had faith. And this faith was righteousness. If we are to be righteous we need to place our faith in him.
