Genesis 11:1-9

This passage is the story of the tower of babel. This is one of those interesting stories that seems to come out of nowhere. It seemed like the people were just being industrialists. For some reason what they were doing wasn't good. It's obvious that they were doing it for their own glory. I'm sure there was more to the story than that. God decides that what they were doing wasn't good. So he disturbs their language and scatters them over the whole earth. This prevents man from doing something. The people in this story were trying to make some connection to God which wasn't good. Guess I don't understand this story completely. I'll look some stuff up online later and get back to it.
