Genesis 12:1-9
In this passage God calls Abram out. He gives him a command to go somewhere. Then he gives him a blessing and curse based upon how people treat him. Abram was obedient to the call and took himself and some of his family with him to journey. He went to canaan and there God told him that one day he would be given that land. Abram built an altar there and then continued on. Interesting to start where you'll end up one day. But I suppose it's similar to us. We know the destination to which we'll end up one day, but it's still a journey to get there. It's not an easy journey and it's not a short one, but we need to travel it to get where God wants us to go. So that's the mission. Just keep going to where God calls us. For me and Esther it's to california for now. Then we'll see from there.
