Genesis 12:10-20
In this passage there was a famine in the land. Abram and his wife went to Egypt to look for food. Abram made a lie with his wife which turned out to be a big problem for them in the end. They got in trouble with the Pharaoh but eventually God bailed them out. In this case Abram did what he thought was right to protect himself. He never imagined that his little lie would grow into such an enormous problem. Unfortunately it did and that's the way lies are sometimes. You never know where they'll lead you. We need to be careful and stick with the truth. It's a lot safer than even half lies. Eventually you'll get caught.
