Luke 4:1-13

In this passage Jesus is led into the desert and is tempted by the devil. This is one of the few instances where I've seen the Bible say someone was full of the Holy Spirit but they don't speak to people about the Gospel. Being full of the HS can also lead you to spiritual growth through suffering. Jesus must've been extremely hungry. We always make excuses as people when we are sick, weak, or stressed about the sins we do but Jesus here makes no excuse and makes no compromise. He sticks with the Bible even though it would be easy for him to fall with his weakened state. This is something to look to when I'm feeling weak or weary. Keep going because perseverance has its benefits. Even though its hard it is worth it to hold on just a bit longer.
